My Switch to Integrative Medicine, in Conversation with Dr George McDermott, a medical Researcher, and Client

Pictured is a screenshot of my IM from Dr George.

Dr George McDermott is a Medical Researcher. He became a client, and sought services for his chihuahua cross and his two cats. He and I have known each other for almost a decade. Great hearing from Dr George. So pleased he survived both Pancreatic Cancer and A-fib heart condition!  Glad to still have you around Dr George!!

My reply, with some added information, as to be informative in this article:

Hi Dr George!

I got my yellow lab x chow-chow through pancreatic cancer. Scary few months indeed. But Annabelle lived for almost a decade past that “episode”

I predominantly utilized Chinese herbs and homeopathy.

I offer alternative wellness for pets and humans. Great results…astounding results.

I also saved my leukemia positive cat Tucker, from imminent death 3x’s, my thoroughbred mare from cancer, my cat Sam, w both a bone marrow and spleen disorder (he could hardly support a single red blood cell in his body! Lol), saved 2 horses from each loosing an eyeball (different afflictions), saved a litter of puppies stricken w parvovirus, another litter of puppies stricken with distemper, got my old quarter horse gelding w a debilitating knee injury walking… etc. That was all only some of the stories, from  my “start-up” decade!

Since then I began offering alternative wellness as a business service. It’s been an additional 15 years now, & 25 in total. To date, I’ve helped roughly 125 animals find wellness. Doesn’t matter the age or ailment. There’s always an answer! I’m overjoyed with the results.

It’s funny- I did domestic and wildlife rescue, and was a Western Medicine vet technician (before switching to Eastern/Western or Integrative Medicine… vet-teaching for a total of 15/16 years) prior to becoming an alternative wellness expert. I can’t even imagine now, what I did for animals prior to this skill set, or why any of them lived!

This was a life-changing path, thanks to my leukemia positive cat Tucker.  3 vets wanted to euthanize my beloved 1yr old cat. I was desperate for an answer.  I found a wonderful integrarive medicine veterinarian. She was my mentor for that decade of learning. She also became a partner of sorts, or at least an integral member of my team, in saving the lives and wellness for all of the animals that crossed my path in that first decade. I also had an herbalist and nutritionist on my team, as well as three additional veterinarians. Now I’m certified in almost everything myself. Life has moved far past my initial animal biology and animal behavior degree, from 30 years ago!
