Another Disappointing Western Vet Appointment

I took my clients Airdale to a new vet yesterday (after “firing” their existing vet for making a catastrophic feeding change to Nyxie’s then Farmers Dog diet …. Preferred over what the vet switched her to “Hills Science Diet Metabolic kibble !!!! Oh no!!!) after noticing several urinary issues … including two immediate observations when I picked her up from her own home. Urine was being deposited on the floor in both mini puddles plus drippings. Secondly, as I squatted to reunite w her as it had been 6yrs since I trained her as a puppy, and she gleefully remembering me/ seeing me as someone very different in her history, she climbed foreword onto my lap expressly to squat and pee on my knee. Never before had a dog tried so hard to tell me something. But know this; I’ve always listened to them. So they will work hard and fast to tell me something in case they only have me for a few moments. Even new dogs know somehow that I’m a “listener.” She wasted no time at all

I began an immediate history query w owner. I asked leading questions. All were dismissed as “it’s just normal for Nyxie.” This was not normal for any dog. Once at my home for 10 days of Boarding Training to include her new upcoming baby brother curly-coat rreteiever to be obtained that day, and brought to me on day 4 (having had both sett of baby vaccines at the breeder) and ensure a proper start to their relationship… I’d further observe the urination issues I was sure she had.

Below is the copy of the text post a veterinary appointment. I’ll also include my photographic evidence proving there was an issue beyond reasonable doubt. They include blood from the vulva and sediment in fresh urine on a clean light tile floor.

To Nyxies owner
When I say in video Nyxie is weak in the morning, she had each of her front legs trembling (not spasming). First her R front then next her L front. She’s young for “weakness after wake up.” Has she had any serious injuries in her lifetime?

It could be that she’s hardly eating here. This is what appears as the most likely culprit for this observation of trembling legs today.
She Never once finished a meal. She can miss a meal entirely too. Everyone has stayed locked up for an hour at breakfast particularly vs my routinely given 20-30mim, then pull remainders and don’t offer a meal again til dinner. Nyxie was also offered breakfast a 2nd time when Cole eats 2-3 hrs after wake-up. But nothing so far changes her consumption habits. Next I’m removing the kibble altogether. That’s my working hypotheses.

So I’m not “worried” about the legs trembling at this time but every observation is important for early detection of everything… particularly for wellness stays, but as important for every dog as they all deserve optimum health. If anything is unusual there is ALWAYS a reason. The body is an ultra perfect machine and brilliant in its design and system cooperation. Never be dismissive of observations. Push for the true answer. Sometimes more than 1 reason exists.

Sometimes the reasons aren’t serious. But sometimes they are the start of something quite serious. For example you saw Cole cannot eat breakfast for 2-3hrs after wake up. This is because he has rounds of pancreatitis flare ups while I’m working slowly in his pancreas. If not noticed he’d die early from this. Misting breakfast was my only observation and I began both a liver and pancreas feeding program. Here he responded to the pancreas feeding program. That crossed liver off as his immediate culprit. I already knew he came to me at age 9 w liver issues. It was the more likely suspect. But this change was influence by his pancreas for sure. Coincidentally he has a liver issue w no changes at this time.

I’m not at the stage w Cole of forcing anything in him (that has a big psychological effect that’s hard to come bank from if treatment must continue… that was my cat Tony’s ending that I’d give much to change for him) but I’m nearing that place w Cole to push the change in the pancreas. He’s added vomiting in the morning now. That requires more action from me now.

Cole has no issue eating dinner being an important observation. Organs either prefer the night time or prefer the mornings (the whole body is zinging around at a “10 of 10” every minute of every day.., instead the body has put them in “shift-work.” For example.,,, no digesting of food while the body is asleep…, so don’t go to bed w a full tummy. Early-bird eating is optimum for health). Pancreas’ don’t like mornings. Liver also didn’t like mornings. Kidneys like mornings and don’t like evenings. If your wide awake at night / tired during day chances are you have liver issues. Etc

So at this time early morning weakness is just an observation. Injuries to the body can play a role here vs exclusively organ or system issues. Lack of food or caloric intake will definitely play a role.

But what I know most of all…, is never assume anything because it sounds easy neat or tidy, or even the most obvious. Know always there are many possibilities for what you’re observing and the list of possibilities is only narrowed when things can be crossed off the list w absolute certainty. Its ok to start w a working hypothesis if you can not be tied to it w exclusion.

Its foolish to dismisses things w no reasons to do so and that’s a huge part of western medicine philosophy. I really couldn’t leave the vet after his diagnosis of “nothing” was his final answer. I have taken on an additional mission of educating western vets in this way..,, thus my return to his office after you’d been charged-out in you CC w the photo and video “evidence” of there definitely being “something” vs “nothing.” “Nothing” just wasn’t an acceptable answer. I hope a corner of his knowledge box just opened up. I will let him know as well what we treat Nyxie w plus report the observations of her responses .. treatment can be the best diagnostic.

PS: this wasn’t Porcher… it was an associate. Illl send a picture of his card below. My only experience at that office prior was w Porcger himself. I found him to be more forward thinking and not as “in-the-box” limited thinking of western medicine practitioners. So going forward, book all appointments with him. There was no benefit to seeing his associate..,, or perhaps only to prove my point of the limits these vets can have. Maybe it was to show you too the limits of western medicine diagnostics.., which is a huge culprit in the limit of answers to the western practitioners. Another culprit is schools but I won’t go into that here. Just know that schools support our economy, medical industry and state-side drug use plus drug export much more than health.

If you want to see a good health-supporting country look to China… down to the foods we eat is all connected . Our food pyramid is much different because it supports what USA manufactures. It’s a totally different food pyramid in every country yet our biology is the same.
